Q: Is it possible to soak and cook green coffee beans like other beans?
A: Not exactly sure. The best way is to steam them very thoroughly. I usually put mine in a medium sized sauce pan and add about 1/2 a cup of water to the bottom, put a lid on and let it steam for about a half an hour, depending on how cold the beans were (frozen, fresh, refrigerated...) just keep an eye on them every once in a while, but not too often other wise it'll take longer because you're letting all the steam out...

I do this a lot... I will drink the green tea and then swallow the stuff that I used to make the tea... and I eat coffee beans at work everday just because there's nothing to eat.
A: you can eat coffee beans. You can buy yogurt covered and chocolate covered coffee beans to eat. You can also get frappes (or whatever they're called) from coffee shops which have the beans ground up coursely in there.
probably loads of caffeine in munching coffee beans though - you only need a small amount for a cup of coffee so if you munch loads you might get a bit of a buzz.

A: store them in an airtight container in the freezer for a year.
Q: Who is the cheapest supplier of green coffee beans?
Cheapest including shipping
A: It depends on how much you want and were you live, I buy mine at an Ethiopian Grocey, a high berry arabica from the Kirria district.
I roast them myself, I have an Ethiopian coffee roasting pan, like a popcorn popper, and you shake it over the heat, a gas stove is better, but an electric one is fine to, you can do them in the oven at 350 d F and stir them as the roast, just watch them they burn quickly, so slight under do them remove them from the roasting source, and cool them, I put mine in a old tea towel and swing it around over my head, I only grind then per pot, and keep the cool one in a sealing jar in the frig.
Check the wholesalers in your town or specialty coffee suppliers, some will have them but migh ask for a 10 pound minimum, one line just search for "Green Coffee Suppliers"
